Matobato faces possible arrest after missing arraignment in Davao City

A warrant for the arrest of confessed assassin Edgar Matobato is expected to be issued after he failed to show up at his scheduled arraignment at the Metropolitan Trial Court on Tuesday morning.


GMA News also learned that Matobato’s lawyer Attorney Gregorio Andolana was also absent in the proceedings.


Aside from the expected issuance of a warrant for Matobato’s arrest, Davao City MTC Branch 3 Judge Silverio Mandalupe is also set to forfeit his bailbond.


It was on June 19, 2014 when Matobato was apprehended. His .45 caliber pistol was found to have an expired license to carry.


Matobato also yielded several bullets.


He posted bail on June 30, 2014.
