Shocking - Cherry Pie Picache backs Agot Isidro: "May utak kami at paninindigan"

Actress Cherry Pie Picache defended her friend, Agot Isidro, since the latter was highly criticized for expressing her opinion and calling President Rodrigo Duterte a "psychopath". 

In an event at the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines on Monday, Picache gave her support to Isidro.

“I know that you’re aware that recently, a colleague of mine na si Ms. Agot Isidro went viral because of her message and her opinion and her stand. Gusto ko rin pong sabihin na nakikiisa ako,” Picache said.

The two were co-actors in ABS-CBN's drama series "Tayong Dalawa". 

“Artista po kami. Nasa arts and culture kami pero may utak po kami at paninindigan at prinsipyo,” she added. 

Isidro on Friday criticized Duterte in her Facebook post for his statements towards foreign allies such as the United States and European Union. She called the president a "psycopath" and recommended that he sees a psychologist. 

“Unang-una, walang umaaway sa iyo. As a matter of fact, ikaw ang nang-aaway. Pangalawa, yung bansa Kung saan ka inuluklok ng 16 million out of 100+ million people ay Third World. Kung makapagsalita ka parang superpower and pilipinas eh. At excuse me, ayaw namin magutom. Mag-isa ka na Lang. wag kang mandamay. Hindi na nga nakakain ang nakararami, gugutumin mo pa lalo,” the post read.

“May kilala along psychiatrist. Patingin ka. Hindi ka bipolar. You are a psychopath.” the actress wrote. 

Duterte previously said that he would rather die of hunger than accept foreign aid from countries that meddle with his war against drugs. 

He dared US and EU to withdraw aid, claiming the Philippines can survive without them. Isidro was heavily lambasted for the post.
